Oh hey Monday, it's you again...

And another weekend bites the dust. Why is it that those 2 days fly by erry damn time and the 5 days in between seem to take 23749328742 years? Sigh.

Perhaps I'm just feeling a little melancholy because it will. not. stop. raining. I typically appreciate a good rainy day to curl up and sip some of me favorite vino, but for whatever reason I just can't get out of my depressed funk today. Also hating myself because today I decided to give up my evening gallon bowl of ice cream, but replaced it with about 1.5 cups of peanut m&m's. No bueno.

ANYWAYS...

The weekend really was quite fabulous! Friday we headed out to a piano bar with a few other couples to celebrate my girl M's birthday. Free covers and drinks? Holla!

I had to work all afternoon and evening Saturday, so really nothing to talk about. Unless you want to hear about me cleaning my toilets, washing bed sheets, and watching Along Came Polly that morning.

We started Sunday out with breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. Is there anything more delicious than blueberry pancakes and bacon? I really think God had me in mind whenever he gave someone the inspiration to create this heavenly breakfast platter.

After grocery shopping and a whole lot of laying around, we got to go have dinner with one of my dearest friends, who is in town on vacation with her husband and adorable daughter. We ended our weekend with snuggling up on the couch to watch World War Z. I'm not much for zombies, but Brad Pitt was delightful as always.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Oh yeah, and happy freakin Monday.

This week's questions:

1. What is your favorite handbag you've ever owned?
Oh jeeze, you're asking the girl with Coach taste on a Target budget. The truth? I bought a mint messenger bag from Target earlier this year that I am still absolutely in love with. Notevenmadaboutit.

2. What is your dream bag that you lust over?
This.

3. What are the daily essentials in your purse or work bag?
Phone, keys, wallet, lip gloss, and a case for my contacts along with my glasses, because it's allergy season ya'll and my eyes can't handle this shiz!

4. What's in your purse (with pictures)
Here is said Target messenger bag with all of my essentials ;)

That's it for now! Looking forward to meeting some other start-up bloggers like me. In just three words I will sum up the rest of my Sunday: Lemon Ginger Mojito.

Cheers!

The Hump Day Blog Hop!

Today, I pop my "link-up" cherry.

Here's the deal: I REALLY want to grow my blog. I love to write. I love to read what other people are writing. I love to drink coffee and wine, depending on what time of day it is, and blogging allows me to do just that while I flex my creative muscles.

Although my blog is appropriately titled "Her Roaring Twenties" for this season of my life, I'm under no illusion that "Her Stressful, Child-Bearing Thirties" aren't just around the corner. I've come to the realization that when I have children, I will absolutely want to stay home with them if it is financially feasible. However, knowing myself, I will need some sort of job or hobby so I don't go completely insane. I would love to have a successful blog where I do something I love, meet and get to know other interesting people, and even generate some extra income for my family.

I see so many blogs written by women who are not only mothers, but hilarious, awesome writers with funny stories, great ideas, and inspiring thoughts. And they're geniuses, in my opinion, because they get to make a living doing something so fun.

And up to this point, I've been a terrible blogger. I have made no attempt to link up with other bloggers or promote my blog, and I do not blog nearly enough, because, well, I don't know where to begin.

One of the bloggers I follow, Raven from Don't quote the Raven (who is shamelessly tell-it-like-it-is and absolutely hilarious), mentioned a link-up with Fitness Blondie.

My response was "What the hell!"

I have nothing to lose.

So here goes nothing! I'm looking forward to finding other new blogs to follow and learning from everyone about how I can make this blog something worth reading.
