FamILY and FaceTime

Sometimes it's really tough to live so far away from my family.
I grew up in the tiny town of Clymer in upstate New York, and my whole family still lives there. Lets not kid ourselves, living in the sunshine state has its perks, but nothing is more important than family and I've got the best! :)
I am extremely close with my big sister, Sandy. We talk e.v.e.r.y day, sometimes 2-3 times. I rarely make decisions without her. And not just the big ones. Pretty sure she usually decides what we are having for dinner.
A couple times a week we make a FaceTime date so I can see the babies. Have I mentioned how much I love FaceTime and our new iPad? (Merry Christmas to Ray!)

Anyways, I love that we get to do this because it makes them not feel so far away. I love taking screen shots of them when we re talking. It makes me happy :)

So anyways, here are 3 of my favorite people!

I can't resist putting up this one of Lukey <3 I'd like to point out that even though he is miserable and crying... still reaching for that cookie. That's my boy!

That's it for today! I finally have a day off after working 10 days straight... I was going to clean my house all day, buuut decided shopping and a pedicure sounds a little better :)
Annnd we are having a Super Bowl party on Sunday! Excited to eat my body weight in chili and dip.
Have a great rest of your week everyone!

It's not delivery, it's....

After a crazy week at work for both of us, no one is happier than Ray and I that it is
finally Friday!
[Not that it matters much for me. I work at a hotel and work most weekends anyways.]

Nonetheless, it always feels good to make it to Friday.
And to me, the best way to spend a Friday night is with a date night in!
These always involve the following:
my couch
sweats and slippers
pizza (frozen, obvi. Let's keep the effort to a minimum here people.)

Tonight was no exception. We even made a nice salad to go with our pizza and to make me feel a little better about our bingefest.
So what if it was full of cheese, pepperoni and bacos?!
A salad is a salad. Amen? ;)

[After dinner we may or may not have had a dance-off to Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Prestley.]

I know, things get craaaay around here.

I better get going! Duck Dynasty is on and I don't want to keep my date waiting ;)

TTFN!

My life, in a nutshell

Welcome! I have been thinking about writing a blog for a while now,
and finally just decided to go for it.
My goal is just to document my life right now- my ambitions, dreams, and the people and places that make me happy. Even though life is confusing at times nothing seems certain, I know someday I am going to look back at "my roaring twenties", and smile. :)

This is me!

This is my adorable boyfriend Ray. You will hear a lot about him. We love eachother... most days ;)

Here is our sweet baby kitten, Palmer, who we adopted from the shelter in November!

And because I'm obsessed with my friends, here are a few of the lovely ladies who have blessed me so much by being in my life.

Did I mention that I am a proud Auntie of 3 nephews and 3 nieces?

From left to right: Jaden, Cameron, Luke, Kylie, Landon and Addison. Aren't they perfect? <3

That's about enough for today. See ya next time!
